Appointments

We assess and triage all patient requests for appointments based on clinical need to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care. When you contact us, we will ask about the reason for your request. Your answers help us determine the most suitable doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional to assist you. Gathering basic clinical information enables the doctor to triage patients effectively and review their medical history before the appointment.

Appointments with a doctor are intended to address a single issue. If you wish to discuss multiple concerns, please inform our reception team, and they will arrange a double appointment for you.

All appointments with a doctor are conducted via telephone. If the doctor decides that an in-person consultation is necessary, they will arrange this with you during your telephone appointment. Please note that our reception team cannot book face-to-face appointments with the doctor.

We ask you to remain mindful of our Zero Tolerance Policy.

Additional GP appointments, improved access

Dacorum extended access offers face to face appointments in addition to those available at the practice. This GP service operates throughout the weekdays from 8:30am to 10pm, Saturdays from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm and Sundays from 9am to 1pm. It is an appointments based primary care service. The slots can be booked via the practice reception team.

It is staffed by local GPs at Highfield Surgery, West Herts Medical Centre, The Nap in Kings Langley and The New Surgery in Tring. The GPs have full access to your medical notes and will update them appropriately following your consultation.
